Team building with horses is the solution. They require clear, confident leadership which makes them ideal training facilitators for a strong, engaged and goal focused team.
How Does It Work?
When you participate in Horse Empowers’ team building programs, you will be teamed up with a horse. We will then put you through custom designed, targeted & phased exercises that draw upon and develop your leadership and team awareness skills. Your horse will provide honest, immediate feedback throughout the process. All while taking in the fantastic views in Durango, Colorado.
Accomplishing a task with a 1000-pound horse requires utilization of leadership skills and confidence, which provide wonderful metaphors when dealing with other intimidating and challenging situations in work and life. They are the masters of mindfulness being completely honest and present in the moment. Horses will not respond to you or follow you unless you are a good leader. Similarly, if you’re not engaging, they will not engage with you. After every activity, we debrief the outcomes with you, supporting you in translating it back to your work life, which provides actionable feedback you can apply to build a successful team.
All our training is facilitated outside of the saddle. It involves no riding and no previous horse experience is necessary.
