How do we do this with horses? The answer is simple. Horses are aware, intuitive and non-judgmental, they are not at all concerned with your title. They are innately looking for a leader who is confident and communicates clearly; a leader who is consistent and compassionate. They are honest and, in the moment, with very high EQ, giving us immediate feedback where we can change our behavior for desired outcomes.
Personal Development Experiences:
Youth Leadership Summer Camp for ages 12-16
Join us for five days of fun in the sun with Durango’s only Youth Leadership Camp, June 10 – June 14, 2024! We will provide a versatile mix of experiences for students ages 12-14 through thematic equine activities and intentional focus on intrapersonal growth extending from each students’ unique Social Style – a powerful behavioral model that will support your child in understanding themselves and others. Social Styles training for your young leader will jumpstart a unique opportunity to develop skills in versatility, communication and conflict prevention. Each day will kick off with group activities that include a strong Service component, beneficial use of technology, enjoying team lunch together. The 2nd half of every day will be spent developing & honing in on our leadership skills as we learn to ride and care for our horses. On Friday parents are invited to see what we learned throughout the week as our students showcase their personally choreographed drill team routines on horseback! Participants will collaborate to learn about the ins and outs of horses, grit, self-awareness and accountability. We hope to give our campers the opportunity to sprout into themselves and complete their goals with perseverance and community support.

FROM THE GROUND UP….Learn Life Lessons as You Learn Horsemanship.
From horse care on the ground to getting up in a saddle and riding, you will learn to partner with your horse and take those lessons into your every day life! Each week, you will build on your foundation…setting intentions, making plans, focusing, and communicating with your equine partners. A great way to discover your leadership style and develop and build self-confidence.

Whether it’s a a 1st date or your 50th Valentine’s together, we’ve got you covered in this must do date EXPERIENCE! We invite you to join us for a unique, fun-filled horse experience for your next Date Night, focusing on communication, trust and keeping the spark alive through our engaging, fun, problem solving exercises with our horses. Together, with your partner and the horses on the ground, you will work through challenges and learn how the horses share their perspective to help us learn and discover some new things about each other! This unforgettable horse experience is guaranteed fun as you test and challenge each other to accomplish goals, all the while growing closer together. You will be laughing for years to come!

Ladies Night 1.0 – For First Timers!
A Great Networking Opportunity
Join us for an evening of horse play! There is just nothing like the bond that develops between women and horses. It’s an experience, a connection like no other and they teach us so much in the process.
Get up close and personal with our horses. Build trust and confidence. Develop new communication skills, self-awareness and experience firsthand how our horses respond and embrace you as part of their herd. Our Ladies Night is an excellent avenue to foster new relationships and network within our 4 Corners Community. Each month we will have a new and exciting exercise that will have you working with our horses through obstacles and problem-solving exercises that will build on the last, promoting learning, self-discovery and a unique ‘girls’ night’ horse experience you won’t forget!

Ladies Night 2.0 is for those of you who have already attended a Ladies Night at Horse Empower – now known as Ladies Night 1.0. If you loved your first experience, and are yearning for more laughter and comradery, we promise you will love LN 2.0 as we head straight in to reconnect with the herd! Georgie and friends will be so excited to see you!

Have you always loved horses, but never had the means or opportunity to enjoy them?
Looking to connect, unwind and explore what horses can teach you about yourself?
Come for a morning or afternoon to Discover Horses and Discover Yourself at the Horse Empower Ranch. For 1.5 hours you’ll spend one on one time with one of our beautiful horses learning about their behavior, care and grooming then connect, reflect and build trust through unique exercises that expand your thinking, build confidence and develop skills for personal growth. Weekly and monthly programs can be tailored to your individual needs, desires and development goals to ensure you get the most out of your personal journey through the eyes of the horse.
